Sgt. Slaughter w/ Triple T

Yes, I got this,
Yes, I attached a homemade parachute to Sgt. Slaughter.
Yes, I threw him up in the air.
No, I did not tie the string tight enough.
Yes, he did fly off into the horse pasture.
No, I never did find him.
From that point on The triple-t was left driverless*

*I suppose another member of G.I. was capable of driving it but it just didn't seem right to me at the time.

Glow In The Dark Frisbee

In June 1983 I got a glow-in-the-dark frisbee with my allowance money. I was 8 years old and it was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my short life and it was instantly my favorite toy. I even slept with it by my side. One day I got home from school and I couldn't wait for the sun to go down so I could play with it but I couldn't find it. We searched all over the yard and under bushes. I started to worry that the Josie and Buckwheat thought it was a new dog toy or that my older brother stoel it or set it on fire, or god knows what. I was so distraught. Before I knew it the sun had gone down and it was past my bedtime. My mo told me to go to bed and that we'll keep looking for it in the morning. I went into my room and i was about to turn on the light when I noticed a glowing on the wall next to the bed. I ran over to my bed and looked in the space between the bed and the wall and sure enough, there it was. I must have knocked in there when I was sleeping the night before. I was so excited! I even brought it with me on the bus for the last day of school. The last day of school was fun, all we did was play outside and I had my frisbee with me the whole time. Then came time to pack up and get ready for the bus. I left the frisbee outside with my "friend" and when I came back he said, "sorrry, i accidently threw it on the roof" I asked the teacher how I could get it down and she said I'd have to wait until the first day of school ebfore i could get it back. I don't remember much about that summer but I know that when the first day of school came around all I could think about was getting abck my frisbee. I raced into the office and asked principal if they found my frisbee. She said, " Oh we replaced the roof this past summer, anything that was up there was thrown away."
